The Irish Red Setter Kaiser captivated me from the first moment with his amber eyes and chocolate-chestnut coat.
I adore spaniels, pointers, hounds, and sighthounds, but despite their aesthetics, it's very disheartening when such breeds are bred without considering their specific needs. A dog is not a piece of decor. They require significant exercise and training. Often, I have to address the lack of emotional control precisely because the dog isn't expending their energy properly.
In my experience, he was the most beautiful yet the most challenging dog to care for. He was incredibly strong physically and had such difficulty controlling his emotions during walks that I had to wrap the leash around my waist to restrain him. Weeks weren't enough to instill the necessary skills in him, but I did everything I could.
