In almost every country I’ve visited, I’ve tried to explore not only the main attractions but also local farms. To me, farming is the heart of any culture — it shows how a country lives, what its traditions and values are. That’s why I enjoy photographing farms: I appreciate your work and want to show people how important it truly is
ARCTIC GATEWAY
One of the most impressive farms I’ve ever visited is a Sámi reindeer farm near Tromsø, Norway.
It’s one of the northernmost Arctic points from which expeditions to the North Pole depart.
In Norway, only the Sámi people have the right to breed and harvest reindeer because it is their traditional livelihood and part of their cultural heritage.
The government protects these rights to preserve their unique way of life and the knowledge that has been passed down in their communities for centuries
SHEEP FARMING
As I traveled through Norway from north to south, I often visited sheep farms and photographed their daily life. Sheep farming plays a huge role there — both in the culture and in the economy. Many people know Norwegian wool sweaters, but not everyone realizes that this tradition simply wouldn’t exist without sheep.
All those warm knits, patterns, and the famous Scandinavian aesthetic were born thanks to the farms and the people who have been raising sheep for generations.
And of course, photographing these farms in such beautiful landscapes was an absolute pleasure!
NEW ENGLAND FARMING
After moving to the U.S. and settling in New Hampshire, I quickly realized how important farming is to life here. In New England — especially in New Hampshire and Maine — farms aren’t just a business, they’re a true tradition. At festivals like Oktoberfest, you can clearly see the huge contribution farmers make to local culture and how much work goes into it.
I want to support that work and help show it to people in the way it deserves — through warm, natural, and beautiful photos that help farms grow, develop, and reach new customers and visitors.
